Pediatric Epilepsy and Neurology Faculty Opportunities at RI Children's Hospital

A well-known academic children’s hospital is excited to welcome additional pediatric neurology faculty. Epilepsy subspecialists with surgical experience and those interested in general child neurology cases will be well-supported, though all subspecialists are encouraged to apply. An Epileptologist with interest in neonatal neurocritical care would be an especially great fit for the program.

Children’s Hospital Highlights:
• Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center
• Affiliated with a 719-bed acute care facility
• 87-bed facility, and attached 80-bed facility with region’s largest NICU
• 16-bed Pediatric ICU with the state’s only 24/7 pediatric critical care team
• ACGME pediatric residency and fellowship programs

Opportunity Highlights:
• Join an established division of 9 pediatric neurologists (4 dedicated Epileptologists)
• Available EEG and Epilepsy volume, building to ~70% Epilepsy practice
• 3-bed EMU, active Epilepsy surgery program, and on-site/remote EEG reading capabilities
• Neonatal NCC interests supported; collaborate with current neonatal neurologist
• General child neurology volume available, with support for subspecialized interests
• Two nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and nutritionists on site
• Shared space with developmental pediatrics and genetics
• General Neurology Call is 1:9 weekly, no clinic time is scheduled when on call and inpatient consult service supported by pediatric and neurology residents
• Collegial team seeking highly professional, collaborative team players
• Basic science, translational, and clinical research interests welcome and well-supported
• Teaching opportunities with pediatric and neurology residents and fellows
