The Department of Neurosurgery at an outstanding Southern institution is excited to recruit a faculty member with training and/or experience in peripheral nerve surgery to one of its teaching hospitals. Those with experience and new grads are welcome to apply!

Hospital leadership, university executive leadership, and the Chair of Neurosurgery work collaboratively to promote and implement a team-inspired culture across both systems. With a commitment to invest in the program, the neurosurgery service is poised for growth!
This privademic position offers the opportunity to participate in resident education, academic campus conferences, and clinical research, if desired.
Practice Highlights:
• 1:4 call as shared with university faculty and residents
• Open to all professorship rankings
• 70/30 case mix of spine and cranial with the opportunity to build a greater subspecialty focus, if preferred
• One resident currently rotating through the system with plans to add another
• Leadership position available for the right candidate
• The latest equipment and technology exist, including a biplane Angio Suite, a Mazor robot, Stealth and Brain Lab navigation
• Strong base of referrals from neurology team including stroke, movement disorders and epileptologists
• Neurovascular call shared with university faculty and outside radiology group
• Adding a pain management physician from whom spine surgeon will gain referrals
• Attractive base plus call pay and RVU bonus compensation structure
