A Level IV, 200+-bed hospital located in a beautiful Southwestern city is eager to add a general neurosurgeon to the team! Those with experience and new grads are welcome; mentorship is readily available. Interests in spine including oncology, scoliosis, endoscopic and minimally invasive work will be well supported in the context of a general position.
The hospital belongs to a flourishing health system that spans more than 20 states. The new hire will join one other neurosurgeon, in practice for nine years, who is excited to welcome a partner and work collaboratively to continue growing the neurosurgery program!
Practice Highlights:
• Six days of call are required, can take more if desired
• Call is highly consultative at this level IV trauma center
• Three APPs on staff currently, an APP will be provided for new hire
• 70/30 mix of spine and cranial cases, can do more or less cranial depending on your interests
• Strong volume of elective cases
• Terrific support from hospital leadership
• Conservatively 150 cases in year one anticipated with more than 300 once established
• Catchment area of more than 400,000
• Region is one of the fastest growing areas in the state
• Seasoned practice manager
• Block O.R. time readily available
• Seven intensivists on staff well trained in neuro
