The academic center is part of a nine-hospital health system. The neurovascular program is among the top 20 programs in case volume. The department is looking to expand their academic footprint, and is seeking a research scientist with interests in resident education. A lab package is available.
The new hire will admit to a 400+-bed comprehensive stroke designated center. This internationally renowned, high-tech tertiary referral center is building a brand-new hybrid O.R. suite. Cases may also be performed at an academic hospital that boasts the region’s only level 1 trauma center and is also CSC designated. The academic hospital is set to build a brand-new hybrid O.R. suite next year.
Practice Highlights:
• Neurovascular call will be 1:4 as shared with two neurosurgeons and one neurologist
• General call is 1:9 with residents and PAs taking first call
• A CAST approved CNS endovascular fellowship exists
• Newly established Brain and Spine Institute fostering collaboration and seamless continuum of care among related departments
