Endovascular Neurosurgeon Needed in Modern Southern Metropolis

A large hospital system in a Southern metropolis is excited to recruit an endovascular trained neurosurgeon to their preeminent team. The position encompasses general neurosurgery and neurovascular volume. Newly trained graduates and those with experience are encouraged to apply.

The hospital system is a 2024 Press Ganey System of the Year Winner and Becker's Hospital Review has named it one of the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare in 2024.

As part of an esteemed Brain and Spine Institute, the new hire will admit primarily to a 250+-bed Level III Advanced Primary Stroke Designated Center. The hospital opened less than 20 years ago and offers the latest in equipment and technology. The area is well-poised for growth with an extremely supportive hospital administration at the ready!

The medical group is led by collaborative administrative and physician leaders. Their physician governance and operating structure allow physicians many opportunities to provide input on decisions that matter most to their practices.

The new hire may also admit to the flagship hospital of the system. The hospital is a Level I, nearly-600-bed Comprehensive Stroke Designated Center. Consistently recognized for high standards of care in the neurosciences, the hospital regularly receives an “A” safety rating from The Leapfrog Group.

Practice Highlights:
• 1:3 neurovascular call, 1:5 general call, call panels are stacked
• Call is highly consultative in nature
• The flagship hospital has gen surg trauma and internal medicine residency programs, which run an extremely efficient ER. The neurosurgery team is called only when appropriate, and remote imaging capabilities exist
• There is also a full cadre of hospitalist support that admits patients, orders labs, manages pre-op, etc.
• Rapid AI program exists for stroke
• APPs help to run the clinic, Neuro APP hospitalists on staff at both campuses who see consults during the day while you run clinic/operate, etc.
• APPs also take on-service call
• System of support that allows the neurosurgery team a good quality of life
• 30% anticipated neurovascular volume at the onset with the plan to grow to 50% or more once established
• APP will be made available for new hire
• Block time fully available
• Stealth navigation and O-Arms on site along with angio suite and biplanes at both locations
