The Director of the Epilepsy will provide leadership in clinical care, program development, and academic research. Key responsibilities include establishing evidence-based protocols for epilepsy care, managing program operations, and spearheading academic initiatives.
Clinical Leadership:
Oversee comprehensive, high-quality clinical care for patients with epilepsy.
Develop and implement innovative, evidence-based diagnostic and treatment protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Program Development & Administration:
Strategically plan, develop, and enhance the epilepsy program.
Establish and lead an epilepsy fellowship program, including curriculum design, recruitment, and mentorship.
Allocate dedicated administrative time to manage program operations, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental budgets.
Education & Research:
Provide teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows.
Engage in clinical research and quality improvement projects to advance epilepsy care.
Foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation within the department.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Serve as a key liaison within the health system, promoting integrated patient care and academic collaboration.
Participate in strategic decision-making to shape the future direction of the neurology department.
