Area Highlights:
This beautiful Pennsylvania city is perfect for those who love outdoor recreation, hiking, biking, running, horseback riding, fishing, and hunting. The area is home to quaint shops, busy restaurants, historic buildings, and its riverfront location. Despite its serene, small-town atmosphere, this town offers convenient access to major cities. Located about 3 hours from New York City and just 2.5 hours from Philadelphia, you will be well-positioned for those who appreciate a quieter lifestyle while still being within reach of these major cities. Whether for a weekend getaway or a day trip, this city's accessibility to NYC and Philadelphia makes it an appealing location for those seeking a balance between rural tranquility and city life. Pennsylvania also offers a favorable tax environment for retirees, so this would be a great place to have a career. The state does not tax Social Security benefits, public or private pensions, or distributions from retirement accounts like 401(k)s and IRAs, allowing retirees to keep more of their income! Additionally, the state has a wide range of healthcare facilities, including renowned hospitals and specialized care centers, ensuring that medical needs are well-covered. In addition to being a regional leader in healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals, the city’s friendly neighborhoods and excellent schools make it a great place to raise a family.
