A robust healthcare system in Virginia is seeking a market-level Stroke Director to develop and lead a Stroke and Inpatient Neurology program across multiple hospitals within the city and local suburbs. The system consists of a Comprehensive Stroke Center as well as additional Primary Stroke Centers. This person will be responsible for the inpatient providers, facilities, and be the go-to person between collaborative specialties (neurology, interventional neurology, neurohospitalists, neurosurgery, intensivists, hospitalist medicine) for the market.
Position Highlights:
- Call is weekly, 1:4-5
- Dedicated administrative time
- Telestroke already in place, allowing for excellent work-life balance
- Current schedule would be M-F, with potential to move to 7/7 in the future if desired
- Opportunities to teach Family Medicine residents
- Ability to read EEGs remotely if desired
- Close affiliation with local neurosurgery group
